The Church Structure Before
The standing structure was built back to 44 years with the efforts of the prominent indigenes and the poor congregations. The maintenance had ever since been jointly financed by both Christians and Muslims in the village. This is the strength of the love that exist in the Poka Community.
The Church Structure Now
With deem of luck, the current Lagos State administration has commenced massive infrastructural development which has its social costs. St David’s Parish of the First African Church Mission, Poka is one of the social costs of the development going on in the Epe Division of Lagos State right now. About 75% of the Church premises was taken over by the ongoing road construction project.
The Church Structure Proposed
The architectural design of the possible modern church at the available spot has been established. The cost of this modern church structure, consequent upon the massive road construction project, is now put at circa N250,000,000.00 (Two hundred and fifty million naira only).
